Role of the forum
The forums key task is to help local agencies and partnerships make a positive difference for people who are at risk of homelessness or who are already homeless.
We do this by supporting joint working, sharing good practice and by influencing the direction of policy and investment at a regional level.
Two key documents for us are the Regional Homelessness Strategy and the Regional Strategy Action Plans, both of which can be accessed from this web site.
The Forum is supported by the Regional Housing Group and regularly feeds back to the RHG on progress, issues and developments in the region.
How the forum works
The forum takes an overview of activity across the region and offers support to the sub-regions. The forum provides a space for regional organisations to get involved with sub-regional work and provides the opportunity for cross boundary working.
The forum meets every quarter organising a mixture of business meetings and workshops. The workshops are open to anyone with an interest in homelessness in the region.
This web site is the space where you will find out about what the forum is working on, what workshops etc are being planned and offers the chance to seek the views of other people in the region.
If you want more information about anything you see on the web site you can contact the forum by emailing us through the "Contact Us" page.
In developing the action plans to support the Regional Strategy we worked with sub-regional partners and developed groups and links that recognised the partnerships on the ground. This means that not all the sub-regions match the Housing Market Areas across the region but there are links to Supporting People areas and other key partnerships.
The sub-regions are:
Nottingham City and South Nottinghamshire
East Midlands Housing Associations’
